Summer Glau was an American actress, best well-known for her character River Tam in Firefly, a critically acclaimed television series. She was also Cameron in Terminator. Sarah Connor Chronicles. Besides these she has starred in the TV shows The 4400 The Unit The Cape Arrow and Sequestered as also guest starring in the shows Angel Cold Case The Big Bang Theory Chuck and Hawaii Five-0. When Selena was eight, she started a career in a band that was formed by her father. Her older brothers, Abraham junior and Abraham junior, who played the base guitar, and Sister Suzette on drums were in the band. Selena also sang. The group was dubbed Selena Y Los Dino and she would perform along with her siblings at various bars restaurants wedding fairs and many other places. Selena was not able to enjoy a full childhood as the band required lots of time. However, their father Abraham was determined to encourage his children and make them passionate musicians. Abraham senior was also a musician with the original band known as Los Dinos. Selena Y Los Dinos officially started in the year 1981. It is the main business of the Quintanillas and their main source to income. Quintanillas were determined in spite of the initial financial difficulties to become an established band. Selena Y Los Dinos achieved fame throughout the western States in the latter part of the 1980s. Selena received the Female Vocalist Award as well as the Performer's Year award at the Tejano awards in the year 1986. From that moment on Selena Y Los Dinos were one of the most successful winners year after year and gained notoriety and fame.
